I am changing the fuel filter on a 1997 nissan pathfinder, but i cant get the lines to diconnect from the . . ?

fuel filter itself. i have taken the clamps off, there is nothing holding it there that i see, they just wont come off! HELP PLEASE!!!!

Once you twist the rubber on the metal filter I use needle nose pliers like a fork to get between the filter and hose and pry the hose off while twisting the filter. Good for you girl taking on that job. Wish I could get the girl friend under her car. Tell the Fiance to get the truck ship shape before the next deployment!

usually when a fuel filter has been on for that long you have to break the lines loose either with a pair of pliers or by sliding a small screwdriver between the line and the hose. probably the line is just stuck to the filter.
