If a fuel filter needs changed on a Toyota vehicle, would it show up as a code on the computer when taken in?

Several people have told me to change my fuel filter in my vehicle to stop some recent problems. If it needs replaced, would the vehicle show a code on the computer system at the dealership?

when your fuel filter is blocked it may be hard to start, loss of power ,engine may miss, idle rough it is possible for a block filter to cause a problem that will set a code

not neccessarliy
I don't think so. If the problem is lack of fuel flow, a code may indicate that, but not specific to the component.
A clogged filter will effect engine performance that YOU will notice and the computer will see it to. If not so bad, NO the computer will not detect it.
No the fuel filter has no sensor so it will not show show up as a malfunction. when your car is running badly or finally stops change the fuel filter first. I change mine yearly
well what are ome of the problems its having but to answer this question no a fue filtr will not pull a code so it would not show if it was the fuel filter
If you go to the dealership they charge you 86$ to diagnoise the problem. Just change the fuel filter it only cost about 10 $ buck at any autopart store. Sometime it located in the engine area or on the fuel line after gas tank . If your check engline light on then it will show up a code, but it won't pick up a code if it not on. OB2 after 1993 i believe it only dectected emission related problems. If they were a crazy fuel problem in your car it will show up with a scan tool. But for preventive maintenance reason, you should change your fuel filter every year depending on driving condition and condition you drive in. Dirt road etc.

hope i can help...
