i'm havin a hard time gettin the lines off the old one. do i need to get the little circle plastic tool that will clamp onto the line and slide it off?

Good tool to have, but it comes in a set, I could not get mine off had to cut it as last resort but installed gas filter. keep old filter and get the removal tool for future removal.

YES YOU NEED THE FUEL LINE REMOVE TOOL WHICH IS THE LITTLE PLASTIC CIRCLE THING. EVEN WITH THE TOOL IT SUCKS THOUGH. YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO TAKE A PICK AND JAM IT IN THERE TO SEPARATE THE LINE. THE TOOL SHOULD BE UNDER 15 DOLLARS AT NAPA OR WHATEVER AUTO PARTS STORE YOU USE
i know what your saying. auto zone i think rents those tools that takes those clips off. myself i rather have the older type.

They're cheap and easy.
