I hav a 2001 transit. after changing fuel filter engine will not fire. its diesel and i am losin patience.help
A Couple of clarifying questions. Did you fill the filter with fuel first? If not take it off and fill it first. Then try to open the bleed screww and get the air out. Not sure if you have a manual pump on the fuel line on that model. Hopefully you can get the air out, that way.

After changing a fuel filter you have air in the system, and it will have to be bled out. If you have tried several times, you have lots of air in the lines now. Look for a bleeder on the intake rail, charge up the batteries, and purge the air out until diesel comes through the valve. Then it should start.
Did you pump the thing on the top of the filter to get the air out of the lines and full the filter with diesel.Look for a bleeder on the intake rail, charge up the batteries, and purge the air out until diesel comes through the valve. then it should be able to start
look at your glow plugs look for lose vacuumlines
did you fill the filter with fuel? If not remove filter and fill with diesel. next crack open each injector line just before they go into the block on top and crank the engine until you get fuel out of each one. it should fire then.last resort spray starting fluid into the air breather for about 2 seconds and crank.WARNING do not do this if the engine has been run.
