93 Oldsmobile 88, changed fuel filter, why does it still only go up to thirty miles an hour when I floor it?
The computer controls the air/fuel mixture. That's not the problem though. Sounds like a bad catalytic converter. Take it to a muffler shop and let them check it out%26gt;

Bad catalytic converter most likely. You can try and disconnect the mass air flow sensor and see if it's better. otherwise probably cat.
It will usually sound %26quot;bizarre, different%26quot; under the hood, like it's blowing air back out instead of sucking it in.
Or low fuel pressure/ pump shot.
Sure sounds like a plugged cat. another indication is oil consumption from blow by
Well in a 93 it has fuel injectors and the cars computer controls the air fuel mixture along with the oxygen sensor is your check engine light on you can hook up a code reader if it is you will need a reader for your car and a book of codes if the reader dose not have one best thing you can do is get a book like a Chilton that will show you a complete tare down and rebuild of just about everything in your car like trouble shooting they start at like 20 bucks and go up form there.
