There is a fuel pump shut off switch located somewhere on your vehicle. You have to find it, start the truck, and hit the cut off until the truck stalls. Turn off the ignition, and get to work, your pump and lines should be unpressurized. The cut off switch is at the rear of the truck, so it can be flipped in case of a rear-end collision.

What that first poster says.

Well, actually, pull fuel pump relay under the hood, crank truck until engine stops turning, then pressure is gone.

Read your haynes manual next time and you avoid that surprise.

60 PSI making your day has to be a cool feeling!
Pull out the fuelpump fuse then start the engine until it runs out of gas
