Does anyone have any suggestions on any remedies as i'm running out of ideas???? My mates been a star tonight but we ran out of daylight and options of what to do.

Getting car started after fuel filter change??????
should try holding the pedal wide open and turning the motor over could spray statrting fluid in the air intake but it should start without it

There should be a bleed valve on the fuel filter.
You may have an air lock - try taking outlet pipe off filter, turn her over and see if fuel is coming through.
spray WD 40 into the throttle body as you start the engine. It will run as long as your spraying and hopefully will purge the air out of the lines while its running.
Should have primed the filter first, most bhave a little black pump, now prime the filter make sure it is full. slacken the banjo union on the pump and crank until fuel flows out, then charge the battery and keep cranking. when it does start floor the throttle and let it rev as it will probably try to die again .

You shoud have floored the throttle when you started it first time after changing the fuel filter let it rev till the air work its way through, again you should have done it with the engine hot to make it easier to crank.
Is it petrol or diesel? What age? Engine size? These are all factors. I have had Fords with diesel engines and found that after a fuel filter change that the problem was in the hand primer mounted on the fuel filter housing drawing air. Try sealing between the primer button and the housing with silicone. if this solves the problem you should replace the filter housing/hand primer.
one thing that is could be if it will just turn over and not start is the fuel injector sometimes if you replace fuel filter but dumps some of the gross stuff in the line again it will clogg ur fuel pump and not be able to start
Spray carberetor cleaner or starter fluid in while cranking: engine will run on that until fuel pump can refill system. WD-40 isn't best option- its a lube, not a fuel.

Is the fuel pump mechanical (unlikely) or electric? Check by listening for fuel pump running as you switch on ignition. If therre's a %26quot;ticking%26quot; noise, you're god to go.
You need to crack the lines leading to your fuel injectors. i.e. crack the hose leading from the tank to the filter and make sure you have fuel, crack the line after the filter making sure you have fuel, and then cracking the line probably up at the fuel injectors themselves. All you have to do is open the line enough to bleed the air out.
Start again!remove the fuel filter and fill it with either new clean diesel, or as we do in the garage, fill it with Forte diesel conditioner. That lets it run for long enough to purge the air out of the system.Hope this helps,
1st Check that the filter has sealed properly.

2nd Open all the pipes on the injectors and turn the engine over until all the pipes have fuel coming out of them then tighten the pipes back up then try to start the car again.

3rd If that does not work tow the car in 2nd gear until it starts.
You should have filled the new fuel filter with fresh diesel first it is possible to get it into the pipes going in and out of the filter .
You have a fuel lock . remove filter fill to top with diesel replace jump car with another car with both battery's fully charged then keep turning over engine until it starts , or tow start in second gear
